Obituary

Blanche “Elaine” Moening. Age 87. October 22, 2019.
Elaine was born October 1, 1932 to the late William and Kahtoma Turner. Dear wife of the late James “Jim” Moening. Beloved mother of Amy (Vince Wolber) Moening and Karen (Gary) Billups. Proud grandmother of Caroline Wolber, Beth Wolber, and Katie Billups. Sister of the late Bill Turner. Elaine graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern. She was a teacher for many years in Lima, Ohio before deciding to stay home and raise her family. She enjoyed puzzles and card games, especially crosswords and solitaire. Reading mystery novels was a favorite past time. An avoid sports fan, she could often be found cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all though she loved going to lunch with her friends and spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Clinton-Macomb Public Library are appreciated. Visitation Friday, October 25, 2019 from 11 am-7 pm, funeral Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Chas. Verheyden Inc. 43300 Garfield Rd. Clinton Township.

First Thursday's since 1992 have been spent with Elaine and the Sears girls. Birthdays and holiday celebrations. I'm so glad we had October celebration Elaine's choice at Bob Evans for her favorite potroast. Who will give me their cucumbers from their salad and be my driving guide? I will miss my side kick and friend.
