I will miss you Duncle Lamar😭😭😭 (Duncle = Dad + Uncle together) you treated me like I was your daughter and you're gonna be truly missed by me. I'll always remember the funny moments we had like when you laughed at me when I crashed my go kart or when you cussed me out for giving you soup with a fork instead of a spoon😂😂. I love ya Duncle.❤❤

Lamar was one of a kind. He was kindhearted, outspoken fun loving and adventurous. He was there for me when I needed him the most. It didn't matter if I was sick, had questions about the Bible, or if I asked him for advice on how to raise Taylor; he was there. Even when he wasn't feeling well and in the hospital, he was concerned about his family. He wanted to know how well Taylor was doing in school, whether I needed any help with my heavy schedule or how Kim was doing. He was upset that he couldn't attend Taylor's graduation or her band concert. In a way, he acted as Taylor's father. She even start calling him" "Duncle" because she sees him as a Dad and Uncle. Lamar helped me overcome many of my fears, obstacles and helped me learn how to enjoy life again by not only talking to me about these issues but by leading by example. I remember one way he showed me how to have fun again was when he took Taylor and I Go-cart racing. Lamar and I were like two kids riding around the track trying to speed up so we could jump the hill in the road. Only to be disappointed when we found out that the Go-carts couldn't go fast enough. We had fun watching Taylor drive and nearly run us of the road. I hadn't had fun in a long time but that simple trip to the track was one of the best days of my life. This is because Lamar helped me see what I have been missing out on and it was the first step for me towards enjoying my life again. Sometimes he was like another father to me and I'm miss him so much. I miss all of the future conversations we could have had, all of the laughter, all of the joy he brought to others, his funny habits like collect toilet paper, and all of the trips we were supposed to take together; like taking a plane to see the Statue of Liberty and him laughing as a freak out from being on a plane for the first time. But I take comfort knowing that he's in Heaven, reunited with loved ones that have transitioned, he's at peace and that he's no longer suffering. God Bless Lamar".
